Licensed Creative Arts Therapist / Psychotherapist

I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) offering therapy in both English and Mandarin Chinese in New York State. I currently offer telehealth therapy only and is open to accept new clients.

I have worked extensively with people from diverse backgrounds experiencing complex emotional, social, and life challenges. My clinical experience includes adult inpatient psychiatry, addiction recovery, and outpatient mental health care. I hold a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from School of Visual Arts, and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design.

My approach is relational, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based. I believe that therapy can be more than labels or diagnoses. I aim to build connections with you through a humanistic lens, with curiosity, warmth, and respect for your lived experience.

Surreal artwork depicting a large tree with dual appearances, one side as a lush, green leafy tree with an eye in each leaf, and the other side as a complex, textured structure resembling coral or fungi. A small, whimsical creature with a round body, large eye, and fiery orange hair floats in the sky alongside a mushroom with a blue pearl on its cap. A monkey-like animal with a long tail and expressive face is positioned in the foreground.

My practice is deeply shaped by my own creative journey as a visual artist, dancer, and performer. I experience daily the powerful ways that creativity can support growth, healing, and personal transformation, and I hope to offer you a space where your own creative energy can grow and become a source of inspiration.

In art therapy, expression can take many forms: drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, movement, dance, mindfulness, creative writing, acting, music, vocal exploration, imaginative play, and so much more. You do not need to be “good at art” to begin. The creative process is not about performance, but a way for you to dive deeper within yourself. In this space, you are invited to become the artist of your own story.

Whether you are beginning your creative healing work, feeling blocked in your art or life, or hoping to deepen your relationship with yourself or others through a more engaging and embodied form of therapy, I would be honored to walk the journey with you. My hope is to help you feel seen, heard, supported, and invited back into your own creative life energy and sense of belonging.
